    CVM Spectrum

    CVM Spectrum an organization that serves members of the vet med community who identify as part of the Gender, Romantic, and Sexual Minoritized (GRSM**) community and its allies. We welcome all veterinary students, faculty, staff, graduate students, undergraduate students, and technicians related to the CVM community. **We choose to use the acronym GRSM, because we find that to be more inclusive of the entire spectrum of identities than the acronym LGBT.

    Gamma Rho Lambda - Omicron Chapter

    Gamma Rho Lambda Omicron Chapter is a social sorority for the LGBTQIA+ and Ally community. GRL at ISU exemplifies the qualities of acceptance, diversity, unity and trust, which provides a network of assistance in the areas of scholastic guidance, emotional support, and community service while ultimately developing the life-long bonds of siblinghood. We are all committed to creating a diverse, safe, educational and scholastic environment. We are inclusive and welcome all races, sexualities, nationalities, systems of belief, and world-views. We ultimately support the LGBTQIA+ community, while affecting social change in the Ames, Iowa community. Recruitment events happen at the start of Fall and Spring semester.     Queer* Graduate Student Association

    The Queer* Graduate Student Association (Q*GSA) is open to all Iowa State University graduate students and non-traditional undergrads who identify within the LGBTQIA+ community. Our main purpose is to provide opportunities to connect ISU LGBTQIA+ graduate students across disciplines. We do that through social/educational events and professional development opportunities for our membership, as well as collaborative activism/education with other queer-affirming organizations.     QTPOC(Queer Trans People of Color)

    The Center works with Iowa State's QTPOC (Queer and Trans People of Color) community and the Margaret Sloss Center to offer programs where people can meet others with similar experiences, form community bonds, and offer mutual support. The monthly QTPOC Dinner at the Sloss Center is a time to share food and conversation in a homey setting.
